The lease occupation date of a lease is the first permissible date for the tenant to assume the rights of occupation of a property from the property owner.
An occupation date will
- Always coincide with the beneficial occupation date
- Sometimes coincide with the lease or rental commencement date
For the avoidance of doubt, the occupation date differs from the following
- Lease expiry date
- Lease vacate date
- Lease renewal date
